Katzetnik - Obsessed With Obsession: Unreleased 2005-2007

Out on download/Streaming/Ltd. CD: Friday 24th July 2020

Emerging from the same early noughties Southend scene of Dirty Hearts Club and Junk that birthed These New PuritansThe Horrors, and Theoretical GirlKatzetnik were glowingly described as being like "Joy Division with psychotic electronics" by the NME.
Often aided and abetted live by the aforementioned Theoretical Girl (who, legend has it, took her moniker from a song written in the Buffalo Bar by Katzetnik for her previous band), they took their dark electronic post-punk live experience to clubs, venues and festivals across London and the South East (supporting the likes of Metronomy) from 2005 to 2007.

Although prolific and experimental in the studio, they imploded before any tracks were ever released. However, a recent chance find on a long forgotten studio hard disk has yielded 5 of their favourites, presented here in all their raw chaotic glory, finally released on Stranger Days Records.

Limited to just 100 hand-numbered copies, these tracks are now available for the first time.

CDs can be preordered now for just £5 (Plus P&P - P&P FREE to mainland UK)
